Tulloch, who was born in San Diego California, grew up living in Spain Uruguay Argentina. The nickname of Tulloch Bitsie isn't actually a contraction for her actual name Elizabeth however it is it's a nod to her grandfather who was a bizarrely named World War II Bomber Pilot and who was involved in the 1961 Goldsboro B52's crash. Tulloch began to act as Bitsie in the year 2000, and continued to do as such until the year 2017. Then she decided to change her name back to Elizabeth. As I have always done and will continue to do, I'm Bitsie when I speak to someone. When I was first starting out in acting I used to introduce myself as Bitsie. Now that I'm in my 30s I'm beginning to want to return to Elizabeth for billing reasons. While I was filming, I didn't think about it. As we were completing your legal paperwork, we noticed that it was Elizabeth. Would you like to be billed this way? So I contacted both my agent and manager to inquire about their thoughts. When you're getting older, it's the time to get on with your life. Also, Bitsie is clearly a kind of cute name. It's adorable. It was really just that. Elizabeth, I'm not introducing myself right now. Billing is the only reason to do this. Tulloch is of Scottish and Spanish heritage. Tulloch's first language has been stated as Spanish. Tulloch is not however able to believe that she's proficient in Spanish. The paternal grandparents of Tulloch's father come from Renfrewshire in Scotland Her grandfathers were from an area near Kirkwall. In an interview that she did to BBC News, we believe the first Tullochs came to America sometime around 1880. The Kerrs came in the early 1900s. The school she attended was middle and highschool in Bedford, New York following her return to the U.S. Tulloch earned a magnacum-laude degree from Harvard University in English and American Literature and a Double Degree in Visual and Environmental Studies.
